Example listing

Why it matters

Mint or LNIB (Like New In Box) describes a pre-owned watch in near-perfect condition. It's been worn enough to remove factory plastics but shows no meaningful wear marks. For Rolex and other heavy-resale brands, Mint is the most common condition listing on the secondary market.

Mint is not unworn. Expect light desk-diving marks under bright light. If a seller's photos show any dings or scratches, the listing should not call the watch Mint.

Common questions

What does LNIB mean?
LNIB stands for Like New In Box. It describes a pre-owned watch that's been worn carefully and shows minimal signs of wear. Most LNIB watches come with the original box and papers.
What's the difference between Mint and Excellent?
Mint or LNIB watches show no meaningful wear marks. Excellent allows for light wear consistent with careful occasional use. Both are common pre-owned condition grades, with Mint sitting one step above Excellent.
