The MODA Invitational at PGA National

And that's a wrap on the 2026 Moda Invitational at PGA National. 48 guys, 2.5 days, and honestly, one of the coolest experiences of my life. Most of the group drove/flew in on Thursday night for the cocktail hour, and that alone set the tone for the whole weekend. A DJ, bartender, and amazing food, combined with an absolutely gorgeous home, was the perfect start to the weekend. On Friday we kicked things off at PGA National's Match Course with a 2v2 Net Matchplay format, and by the end of the day the pink and navy teams had pulled ahead to earn two mulligans per player heading into the next round. After another night hanging out, we moved over to The Championship Course (home of the PGA Tour's Cognizant Classic) for a modified Stableford event, and when the dust settled it was the Pink team standing tall as the proven winners of the Moda Invitational. And as much as I’d love to talk about the golf, it was really only what a fraction of the weekend was about. Sure, we got to play a cool course but the true value of these events lies in the 48 like-minded people who gathered for 2.5 days and got to know each other in a deeper way. Ask anyone who went, and they’ll tell you that they developed relationships that are built to last. Whether it was a friend to relate to or a mutual business interest, there truly was something for everyone to take home. That’s what Moda has always been about, and that's exactly why we started doing in-person events. All that to say, thank you to everyone in this community who continues to support what we're building. Weekends like this exist and will continue to exist because of YOU. Next up is LA! Here are the details: Monday, July 20th at Glendora Country Club. One day, two flights. A 4-person scramble for the casual crowd and net stroke play for the single-digit handicaps. Watch industry-focused, but everyone is welcome. Sponsor exemptions are available for those who qualify.

Moda AI Club is Live

After almost a decade of building Facebook communities, we got really deep into AI a few months ago. I started joining AI groups to learn, and quickly realized they're all trash. Bots, scams, AI slop, course-sellers. There was solid intel buried in there if you looked hard enough, but the noise drowned everything out. We know how to build communities and we have a powerhouse of a team to manage them, so it was only natural we had to make our own. Moda AI Club is for two kinds of people. Small business owners who actually want to use AI to grow their business, and the builders who help them figure out how. Owners post real problems they're trying to solve. Builders post tools, prompts, and workflows that actually work. No cold DMs. No course-sellers. No MLM. No affiliate spam. The group is public, anyone can read the posts. To comment or post, you have to verify yourself at modaaiclub.com. We need your Facebook name and email so our mods can match your join request to your signup. After that you get an invite code by email and you're in. This is the same playbook we've used to grow our other 22 Moda Clubs to 600,000+ members. The rules work because they're enforced. The community stays valuable because nothing is allowed to water it down. If you're a business owner sitting on a problem AI could help with, or a builder who'd rather solve real problems than post threads about prompts, this is for you. Verify at modaaiclub.com to join.

A Story Only Moda Can Tell

A while back, #tmc member Dustin Murphy shared about how his wife (Molly) had just run the NYC Marathon. Dustin shared that Molly was elated with her performance and in shock that she had been able to run in her first world major. Sadly, the high from the event quickly vanished when Molly realized she had left her wedding rings on the desk in the hotel room. Having just celebrated their 12th anniversary, losing the rings hit pretty hard and, in her words, “put a cloud over what should’ve been an amazing memory”. But luckily, the story didn’t end there, and Dustin turned to The Moda Club for help. All he had were a few pictures and a short video of the ring, but he posted anyway in hopes that someone could help him recreate the rings that meant so much to her. That's when David Truong from Mimi’s Jewelry got involved. After seeing the post, David reached out to Dustin, and the two began working out the details to find the perfect replacement. After going back and forth for a while, the rings were recreated with an upgraded stone placement and band courtesy of David. What was a good moment ruined became a story only Moda could come up with. The rings were placed under the Christmas tree just six weeks after losing them. Molly was elated, the memory was saved, and Moda members came through for each other once again. Stories like these aren’t normal. They don’t happen in most other groups. And strangers don’t care for each other in this way very often, but in Moda, it’s always felt like the norm, and we are committed to keeping it that way. If you want access to this type of community, The Moda Club is the perfect place to be. Join today!

The First Ever Moda Event

For years, Moda members had been asking for in-person events or what they often called “Moda meetups.” And while the idea sounded nice, we never knew what angle to take for them or how to make the events significant enough to warrant people traveling from all over the country. We wanted events to be worth their time, and ours frankly. Then, in early January, we decided to give it a shot. Just two months prior, we had launched Moda Golf Club and saw immediate traction. It hit us that golf would be the perfect way to introduce the event idea that had lingered for years. Our initial plan was simple: gather Florida natives, provide cool merch, play a round at a nice public course, and share a meal. Needless to say, it turned into so much more. Within 45 minutes of announcing the event, we sold all the spots, with less than half being sold to locals. Just like that, people were committing to flying across the country to be part of this thing that was still piecing itself together. It was seriously incredible and all the proof we needed to know that this was going to be special. And on January 28th, it happened. We hosted the FIRST EVER Moda event! Overall, the day turned out better than we could’ve asked for. The guys vibed well, the golf was beyond fun, and the meal/cocktail hour afterward was the true “bread and butter” of the day. Yes, we talked about our rounds, the clubs we used, and the blue team beating the black team. But more than that, we talked about life. Most of the conversation surrounded business ventures, family life, relationships, and goals. All with like-minded individuals who are aiming at the same targets. It was pretty cool to be in a room like that, and we all felt it. So, with that experience and information, we are deciding to dive even further into what events could look like for Moda! With an event on April 24-25 at PGA National, and a watch/golf event in LA County on July 20th, we’re truly just getting started. Lastly, if you’re interested in participating in future Moda events, make sure you’re on our list so you get notified as soon as we announce the next ones!. We can’t wait to see how these events continue to evolve and transform the Moda community.
